Third round: Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas A&M

Why Jace Sternberger?

The former Kansas Jayhawk and JUCO transfer had a huge year this past season for the Texas A&M Aggies.

In his one year of significant playing time in college, Sternberger 48 passes for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns.

How about a touchdown every 4.8 catches?

The Broncos have a number of players they should be excited about at the tight end position, but unfortunately, none of them can stay healthy.

Sternberger is a unique type of player who is really more of a 6-foot-4, 250-pound wide receiver. He’s not a traditional in-line blocking type of player, but he’s a natural after the catch and is freakishly athletic.

The Broncos would be taking him here in round three as an alternative to Noah Fant in round one or two.

Sternberger has a huge catch radius and can do things after the catch similar to George Kittle and Travis Kelce. He’s a mismatch and I think he’s only going to get better.
