Second round: Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State

Why Dalton Risner?

Dalton Risner is a Colorado native. Honestly, when I was putting this mock draft project together, he was not a player I expected to be on the board.

Risner is ranked 39th overall by The Draft Network, and the Broncos have pick 41 in round two, so this is not entirely unrealistic.

Risner is the toughest, meanest tackle in the Draft. He’s got a reputation for being the best run blocker in the class and would pencil in immediately as Denver’s starting right tackle.

He’s one of just five players in Kansas State football history to be named a three-time team captain.

The 2018 All-American would be a no-brainer pick for the Broncos in round two, who throw a bone here to their new offensive line coach Mike Munchak.
