Cornerback

The Broncos’ need at cornerback is obvious.

Once they traded Aqib Talib last offseason, everyone knew things were going to be different (worse).

Bradley Roby, unfortunately, could not live up to his first-round billing this past year and will likely walk to another team in free agency. There is still a chance the Broncos could give him another chance and re-sign him depending on what his market is, but that doesn’t seem overly likely.

This year’s free agent crop has a lot of recognizable names, including a number of former high draft choices.

In addition to Roby, names like Kareem Jackson, Morris Claiborne, Darqueze Dennard, Ronald Darby, Eric Rowe, Jason Verrett, and P.J. Williams are available. Along with those guys are lesser known but highly productive players like Bryce Callahan (of the Chicago Bears) and Brian Poole.

This should be an active year on the cornerback market and the Broncos will undoubtedly be signing somebody.
