Which positions will the Denver Broncos target in 2019 free agency, only three weeks away? What players could be targeted?

With just two weeks until the start of the NFL’s free agent negotiating period, the Denver Broncos have to be close to wrapping up some of their target lists.

Mike Klis of 9News in Denver put together a fun mock draft scenario along with a ‘Mystery Mockster’ and also included positions he believes the Broncos will target in free agency.

Here are the positions he thinks the Broncos will target starting March 11, now that they have Joe Flacco in place as the starting quarterback:

Wide receiver
Offensive line
Nose tackle
Cornerback
Backup edge rusher

That list obviously doesn’t include some positions everyone has assumed the Broncos would pursue in free agency, like the linebacker position, safety, and tight end.

Perhaps the Broncos feel like they have a good chance of addressing those positions in the draft, though plans are certainly subject to change.

While I don’t know that the Broncos would necessarily pass on the chance to get a guy like CJ Mosley if he wanted to play for Vic Fangio, I think Klis is on to something with this list and I want to come up with the names of some players the Broncos could target at each of those positions.

In addition to that, let’s take a look at exactly why the Broncos might target these positions in free agency rather than just the Draft.
