Shaquil Barrett, EDGE

Best fits: San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots

Prediction: San Francisco 49ers

Shaquil Barrett has been a very good player for the Denver Broncos since coming on board as an undrafted free agent in 2014.

He’s developed into an outstanding all-around edge player and special teamer, and the Broncos were fortunate to have him under team control at such a discounted rate for so many years.

That time has unfortunately come to an end.

There will be a variety of suitors for Barrett in free agency. So many teams in the NFL need starting edge players and that’s what he wants to be.

The San Francisco 49ers are as logical of a fit as any with their cap space and need on the edge, but really any one of these teams (and more) could work for Barrett. He’s from Baltimore, so perhaps he’s dreamed of someday playing for the Ravens.
