Jacob Dolegala, Central Connecticut

Joe Flacco came from Delaware and became a Super Bowl champion.

As has been outlined a number of times throughout this article, it takes one team to fall in love with a guy. There is one quarterback that has caught my eye the last few days out of Central Connecticut. His name is  Jacob Dolegala.

Dolegala seems like a Flacco clone. Standing tall at six-foot-six, Dolegala has the arm strength to rip the deep ball with accuracy, and he’s not afraid to make the tough throw. There’s even a sneaky mobility that he presents to keep linemen and pass rushers honest.

It is enough to say he’s fleet of foot for a man his size. One thing that caught my eye was a back shoulder throw he made in the end zone that was a frozen rope. If this skill becomes perfected, he could carve out a long career in the NFL making that pass.

There are still flaws in his game, but if the Denver Broncos want to train up someone in the mold of Joe Flacco, Dolegala seems like the right fit. It would be hard pressed to find a more NFL qualified quarterback that played for a small school than Jacob Dolegala.

You can check out a number of his games and highlights here.

The Denver Broncos might be the team to take him.
