Easton Stick, North Dakota State

It goes without saying the school Easton Stick is from is a winning program. North Dakota State’s football program is an FCS powerhouse.

Other than the fact that he has a cool name built for football (maybe even better for baseball), Stick is a very intriguing prospect. The offense he runs is very pro-friendly.

This means the transition from college to the NFL won’t be as difficult, unlike a player from a different system. However, even that narrative seems to be dying.

Stick’s pocket presence is good, but his arm strength leaves a lot to be desired. There are things about Stick that go unnoticed like pocket presence, playbook recognition, and general readiness on a week to week basis for what he’s facing. As for natural, physical talent, he is not the most gifted.

Still, he led the Bison to an upset win at Kinnick Stadium against the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2016 and has the ability to rise to the occasion.

Here are some of his highlights.

It takes one team to fall in love with a player. Stick might be an option for Denver, but he may not be number one on the board.
