Joe Flacco is the new starter for the Denver Broncos, but this won’t stop the team from looking to address competition behind him.

The Denver Broncos shocked the NFL world by agreeing to a trade for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco is 34-years old and will hopefully help get the team back to winning football games.

Flacco is a better quarterback who dealt with an average supporting cast and a first-round pick in Lamar Jackson creeping up behind him in 2018. There’s still plenty left in the tank for Flacco and also a door for Denver to look toward the future.

First round quarterbacks like Drew Lock, Dwayne Haskins, and Kyler Murray are not off the table, but certainly look less likely at this point. The more likely scenario is a day two or day three selection in the 2019 NFL Draft.

There are some very interesting choices to pick from. With Rich Scangarello in the fold, there could be some sneaky small school quarterback in the mix. That said, I want to look at options from larger schools Denver should consider.

The Denver Broncos have choices. That’s the bottom line. Using a first-round pick at quarterback is not out of the mix, but neither are the later quarterbacks. Here are five quarterbacks I have my eye on, and the Broncos just might like these guys as well.
