In the latest mock draft by Mel Kiper Jr., the Denver Broncos appear to address the cornerback issue as they take Greedy Williams tenth overall.

It is no secret that the Denver Broncos need to address the cornerback issue sometime during the offseason. One player that has been linked to the Broncos is Louisiana State University cornerback Greedy Williams.

And with the tenth pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, according to Mel Kiper Jr.’s latest mock, the Denver Broncos select Greedy Williams, defensive back, LSU.

I find it very interesting that the Denver Broncos did decide to go cornerback in this mock draft. But it makes all the sense in the world. Cody Roark wrote about how the Denver Broncos should go cornerback in the first round. And I would say it would be the smartest move.

If it happens that Williams is available to the Denver Broncos when it comes time to select, I would be excited about this prospect.

Just by watching his tape, he is a player that I would be excited to see wear the orange and blue in Denver. He would be the perfect sidekick to Chris Harris Jr. His closing speed, ability to adjust to the football, and his ability to play man coverage so well at the collegian level is something that I am just awe-struck about.

If he is able to translate that to the NFL rankings, the Denver Broncos might have another version of the No Fly Zone coming up. Having both Williams and Harris Jr. alongside Simmons and the rest of the secondary would be quite the dream.

It is possible that Greedy Williams will fall to the Denver Broncos at this spot. However, we are uncertain of what John Elway will do with the tenth overall pick. Will he go cornerback? Quarterback? Best player available?

The clock is ticking down to when we figure that out.
