Big free agent fish, other thoughts

In this scenario, it would be amazing if the Broncos could come away from free agency with Baltimore Ravens linebacker CJ Mosley. After informing Brandon Marshall they were moving on, the Broncos sort of set themselves up to be a player on the free agent market at that position.

They could also look into signing Steelers free agent guard Ramon Foster, who has familiarity with Mike Munchak and would allow Connor McGovern to stay at the center position.

The Broncos would have to cut Case Keenum in this scenario, saving $11 million on that move but also eating $10 million in dead cap.

At tight end, the Broncos will have a variety of options in free agency, which I’ve highlighted here.

What if the Broncos came away from free agency with CJ Mosley, Ramon Foster, and our top free agent tight end Jared Cook? The starting lineup would look pretty stacked in this situation.

Offense

QB: Joe Flacco
RB: Phillip Lindsay/Royce Freeman
WR1: Antonio Brown
WR2: Courtland Sutton/Tim Patrick
SLOT: DaeSean Hamilton
TE: Jared Cook/Jake Butt
LT: Garett Bolles
LG: Ron Leary
C: Connor McGovern
RG: Ramon Foster
RT: Billy Turner

Defense

LDE: Derek Wolfe
NT: Dexter Lawrence
RDE: Adam Gotsis
LOLB: Von Miller
ILB: CJ Mosley
ILB: Todd Davis/Josey Jewell
ROLB: Bradley Chubb
SCB: Chris Harris Jr.
CB: Isaac Yiadom
CB: Deandre Baker
FS: Justin Simmons
SS: Will Parks/Jamal Carter

More. Why safety is not a need for the Broncos. light

That lineup looks pretty amazing on paper. If the Broncos could use day three of the draft in this scenario to supplement some depth on the defensive line, offensive line, and take some shots on other guys who could contribute right away, they would be looking really strong for the future.
