1. Trade for Miami Dolphins CB Xavien Howard

Trading for Xavien Howard would be, in a world, difficult.

The Dolphins with a new coaching staff may not be too keen on trading away one of their best young defensive players, but Howard’s willingness to sign a long-term contract with the team could dictate his future.

Howard is in the final year of his rookie contract, which he’s clearly out-played up to this point. Over the past two seasons, Howard has 11 interceptions, including seven this past season.

If the Broncos want to trade for Howard, it would require multiple high selections and possibly even picks into the future. The Dolphins would have to view trading Howard as an opportunity to add some quality draft choices to their arsenal and rebuild their roster.

He would not be a salary dump, but the Broncos would have to also consider what trading for him would mean in terms of their ability to re-sign him.

If Howard was put on the block by the Dolphins, the Broncos would have to not only pay up to trade for him, but also pay up on a new contract. He has just one year left on his deal, so he’s going to be looking for a big pay day.
