Deone Bucannon, Arizona Cardinals
Bucannon is listed as a safety by most football sites but the reality is, he has played the vast majority of his snaps in the NFL in the box and is more of a linebacker than anything.
There were rumors swirling this past year that Bucannon was going to be a trade target for some team, and now he’s set to hit free agency.
Bucannon, a 4.49-speed player, has proven himself to be a highly effective tackler in the NFL and a player capable of changing the game with his speed and toughness in the box.
Bucannon would be brought in to be a full-time inside linebacker but someone who could play with his back to the line of scrimmage at times as well as side-to-side and attacking downhill.
The Broncos would have to decide what adding a player like Bucannon would mean for someone like Su’a Cravens, who still has two more years left on his contract, but this would be an interesting addition to be certain.
