Denver Broncos: Looking ahead for the stellar 2018 rookie class
Troy Fumagalli, TE
The Broncos put Fumagalli on injured reserve before the 2018 regular season even started, and I wonder if they didn’t regret that throughout the year.
Fumagalli could have been a huge help for the team at one point or another during the season.
In his time at Wisconsin, Fumagalli developed a really well-rounded game and showed off some big-play abilities as a receiver.
The Broncos desperately need someone to break out at the tight end position, and Fumagalli could be the one to do it. At the very least, I expect him to compete with Jake Butt for the top spot on the roster assuming the Broncos move forward without Jeff Heuerman on the team.
If Heuerman returns, Fumagalli will compete with Jake Butt for the TE2 role but should factor in at some point or another.
