Sam Jones, OL

The Broncos didn’t risk putting Jones on the practice squad like they did with some of their other valuable rookies, which means they think pretty highly of him.

Jones is in an interesting situation in 2019, not unlike the situation another former sixth-round pick (Matt Paradis) was in back in 2014.

Jones could go from having absolutely no role in 2018 to being a starter in 2019 depending on what happens in free agency. The Broncos are set to lose Matt Paradis, who could re-set the center market and become the highest paid player at his position.

It remains to be seen whether the Broncos will be the ones to pay him.

Jones can play all of the interior positions but he could settle on guard with Connor McGovern already having starting experience at center.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see him as Denver’s starting left or right guard depending on how things go this offseason.
