Zach Kerr, Defensive Line

Age: 28 (29 in August)

Zach Kerr has carved out a niche in the NFL, and he’s a fine player when healthy.

Kerr was signed by the Broncos in the 2017 offseason after not being tendered by the Indianapolis Colts as a restricted free agent, one of the strangest moves considering he was 26 at the time and had played well as a reliever on Indy’s defensive front.

He played under 400 snaps for the Broncos this past year but still set a career high with 394 and also set a career mark with 21 tackles and 17 run stops.

Kerr’s value is in his versatility. He can play inside or outside on a defensive front.

Given his age and productivity as a reserve, as well as his familiarity with defensive line coach Bill Kollar, it would be shocking if the Broncos didn’t offer him something to come back as inexpensive depth.

Projected value: $1.5-2.5 million/year, 2-year contract
