Denver Broncos: One dream offseason scenario in 2019
Adrian Amos, S, Chicago Bears
Projected contract: 4 years, $28 million ($7 million/year)
Adrian Amos might not come in at this high of a price when all is said and done, but he’s earned a nice contract after his four years with the Chicago Bears.
The Broncos’ coaching staff, including Amos’ former DC and DBs coach in Chicago (Fangio and Donatell) is familiar with him, and the team has sorely missed an enforcer/strong presence at the strong safety position since they let go of TJ Ward.
Amos has proven he can not only play in the box but make plays on the ball. This would obviously mean the team would shed the salary of Darian Stewart, freeing up more than half the space it would require to sign Amos.
The idea of pairing Amos with Justin Simmons is tantalizing as their skillsets complement each other nicely.
