Malcom Brown & Danny Shelton, DL, Patriots

The Patriots have a couple of former first-round defensive linemen who could get a shot at more snaps in another location this offseason.

Malcom Brown played more than Shelton this past season, and both are outstanding run defenders.

The Broncos have two pretty significant free agents in Domata Peko and Zach Kerr up front. If one or both of those guys don’t return, Brown and Shelton could be pursued.

The Broncos were, at one point, in talks with the Cleveland Browns about acquiring Shelton in a trade.

If either of these players comes in, they will be relied upon as two-down run defenders and possibly play about 50-55 percent of the snaps.
