CJ Mosley, LB, Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have an interesting decision to make. If they let CJ Mosley test free agency, he may not come back to Baltimore. Mosley is a linebacker who would give Vic Fangio the sideline-to-sideline player he wants to man that position. It would also be fitting for the Denver Broncos to possibly sign Mosley.

Many people in Broncos Country felt Mosley should have been drafted by the team in 2014, but they couldn’t strike a deal to go up and get him. Instead, the team took Bradley Roby (a possible in-house free agent target).

Mosley gives Denver the chance to solidify depth at linebacker. Like a Landon Collins signing, it makes the position better. Josey Jewell is the wild card player to watch in Fangio’s scheme. Jewell is not the most athletically gifted, but his instincts make up for it. On the other hand, Mosley is just the better player right now.

This move would signal a potential exit for linebacker Brandon Marshall. Marshall is another intriguing player in this new scheme and a story for another time. Again, Mosley is just the best option and gives the Denver Broncos defense a quarterback on that side of the ball.
