Landon Collins, S, Giants

This one is quite fascinating. At the top of his game, Landon Collins is one of the best safeties in the NFL. It does put the team in a quandary of an abundance of depth at safety. The move is one where a player will need to be released and that is the unfortunate part of this business. Who knows what player that may be…

The signing of Collins will address potentially the largest need on the Denver Broncos’ defense. Covering tight ends is something that has lingered for more than a few (frustrating) seasons. Collins can be the player the Broncos need to finally start shutting those guys down.

Covering tight ends and running backs will be a point of emphasis and Collins gives them that opportunity to become a dynamic secondary.

He can be the enforcer and tone setter of the defense. Denver’s defense needs multiple players like this in Vic Fangio’s scheme.
