The Denver Broncos have added to their coaching hires for the 2019 staff. Three new members will join the team for the upcoming season.

What seemed like a long time in finding a quarterback coach for the Denver Broncos has finally been resolved. And they only needed to interview one person for the job.

Former San Francisco 49ers offensive assistant T.C. McCartney has been hired as the Broncos new quarterback coach. He spent the last two years working under Kyle Shanahan.

Some background on McCartney, he is the son of Sal Aunese, who is a former quarterback from the University of Colorado. So, there is a connection to the Rocky Mountain state.

Rich Scangrello will have a familiar face on the Denver coaching staff as Rob Calabrese is also joining the Denver Broncos coaching staff as the offensive assistant. Both Scangrello and Calabrese worked together at Wagner before the current Broncos offensive coordinator moved to the NFL.

Both McCartney and Calabrese have worked under Kyle Shanahan, so time will tell how the offense will operate with both of them on the staff.

Another recent addition to the Denver Broncos is a new defensive quality control coach. Nathaniel Willingham, who was recently on Stanford’s coaching staff, is now joining the Denver Broncos. His job will be preparing the Denver Broncos defense for games. He’ll likely work with Vic Fangio and Ed Donatell.

The coaching hires have been excellent to this point. With the three hires today, it appears the Denver Broncos coaching staff is almost complete. Just a couple pieces here and there and it should be completed.

Next. Broncos must make extending Chris Harris Jr. a priority. dark

Soon, the Denver Broncos will be able to get prepared for the 2019 offseason. And with a new head coach and what appears to be a positive step in the right direction, it will be an entertaining one at that.
