Second round: Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina

I love when teams go after a quarterback in the first round and then follow up by selecting someone who can make that quarterback better in round two.

I would love to put another Senior Bowl standout — Kansas State offensive tackle Dalton Risner — here in this slot but I think Risner will be long gone by the time the Broncos are on the clock in round two.

It’s possible Deebo Samuel will be long gone as well after the huge week he had at the Senior Bowl.

The 6-foot, 210 pound Samuel could be for the Broncos what they had envisioned from 2017 third-round pick Carlos Henderson, a monster after the catch and someone who can be a bully over the middle of the field.

Samuel is a very unique type of player who would fit really well in a group with Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton.
