Bradley Roby, CB

For a few seasons, there was a sense that Bradley Roby would be the heir apparent to Chris Harris Jr. or a true number one cornerback for the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, a few inconsistencies crept in and Broncos now are pondering whether to re-sign the cornerback.

Roby is a very gifted cornerback whose talent shows every once in awhile. Consistency has been an issue of his the last few seasons, but he shines in the clutch moments.

Roby is notorious for making a key forced fumble in crucial situations that helps out the team switch field position. Taking the ball away is one of the most important traits of a defender, especially in today’s NFL. If teams are winning the turnover battle, then they will win many games.

The biggest point to consider with Roby is the pursuit of others in free agency.

Roby might come with a high price tag. Denver could place the franchise tag on any of their big name in-house free agents. Roby has a very interesting scenario. He will have interest from others and also might see dollar signs thrown at him for his potential.

There is a chance Denver can bring him back at a discounted rate, but that seems unlikely.
