Domata Peko, DL

This is a fan favorite and a clear need for the Denver Broncos to prioritize before free agency.

Re-signing Peko is up there near the top of the list of what John Elway and the Denver execs must do. Even as he gets older has become a valuable piece of the defensive line.

Back when Peko was with the Cincinnati Bengals, he was overlooked because of the play of Geno Atkins. The same seems to be the case in Denver with some of the other pass rushers on the roster.

In the times he’s been on the field he is impactful in the running game and pressuring quarterbacks. Pressuring quarterbacks because it opens up the job for others. That’s what we call a consummate teammate.

The other driving force to retain Peko is his stability in the locker room. Whether on the offensive or defensive side of the ball, players rely on Peko’s understanding and leadership to become better on-field products.
