Drew Lock, Missouri

The Broncos’ interest in Drew Lock seems pretty obvious at this point but there’s always a chance that things don’t work out.

I’m sure they would have loved to have gotten Baker Mayfield last year, but that just wasn’t a realistic proposition. Will some team jump the Broncos to get to Lock?

I suppose it’s possible.

Some feel like Lock is not even a guarantee to go in the first round at this point. That would honestly be a shocker to me, but anything is possible.

Lock has four years of experience against SEC competition and some really solid production and obviously plenty of good tape.

He doesn’t have such a significant fatal flaw that I would consider him a worse prospect than someone like Josh Allen, whose production at Wyoming was terrible, he struggled with injuries (which he also struggled with his rookie season), and his accuracy was all over the map.

Allen went in the top 10 picks last year to the Buffalo Bills. If he can make a team fall in love with him, why not Lock?
