With Vic Fangio running the 3-4 defense, it will be important to get the three men on the defensive line to help with the run game. Derek Wolfe recorded 43 tackles and 1.5 sacks during the 2018 season.

However, his ability to bat passes down at the line of scrimmage was one thing that stood out to me during this season. I believe learning from Vic Fangio can help elevate his game. Wolfe knows how to get to the ball carrier and can occasionally get to the quarterback.

I believe that Wolfe can learn a lot from Vic Fangio. They are both guys who take no nonsense and I feel as if these two will be in sync as far as what they expect. Derek Wolfe has expressed his displeasure with some of the playcalling when Vance Joseph was at the helm and absolutely is disgusted with losing.
