Denver Broncos odds: Is Kyler Murray Denver-bound?
OddsShark has released the odds for teams most likely to select quarterback Kyler Murray in the 2019 draft. The Denver Broncos are one of those teams.
The 10th-overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft belongs to the Denver Broncos. One of the most talked about players is quarterback Kyler Murray. The Broncos are in need of a quarterback and are among the teams likely to consider drafting Murray if he is there.
OddsShark has provided odds for where Murray will end.
And with the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select… you guessed it… Kyler Murray, quarterback, Oklahoma.
That is unless the other teams ahead of the Denver Broncos beat them to the punch. The current odds for where Murray will end up (in order of most likely to least likely) are:
Oakland Raiders (+325)
Jacksonville Jaguars (+350)
New York Giants (+400)
Arizona Cardinals (+500)
Denver Broncos (+800)
Miami Dolphins (+800)
Washington Redskins (+800)
Cincinnati Bengals (+900)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1200)
Pittsburgh Steelers (+1400)
It is very early in the process to decide where Murray will end up. A lot can happen—and will happen—from now and Draft Day, including the Scouting Combine.
The Broncos very well could be in a position to draft Murray, or whoever is still available from their draft board. Quarterback Daniel Jones? Maybe. A cornerback? It’s possible.
Maybe the Broncos will move down the draft board in the first round and be able to snatch Murray off the board.
A way that would be possible is if teams place him lower on their priority list due to his height (he is just 5’10”). That is not an ideal height for an NFL quarterback.
But does the name Russell Wilson ring a bell? How about Drew Brees? Both are phenomenal Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks who have proven doubters wrong. I’m not saying Murray will become Wilson or Brees, but it certainly is not impossible.
Quarterback is on the team’s radar this offseason. Case Keenum does not look like the answer right now. Who knows, maybe this new coaching staff will change him back to the 2017 Keenum.
As of right now, however, all options are on the table. We very well could see Kyler Murray in a Denver Broncos uniform in 2019.
