Emmanuel Sanders

Emmanuel Sanders is the veteran wideout for the Broncos. The team traded Demaryius Thomas and Sanders because the number one guy at the position.

But then tragedy struck when Sanders tore his Achilles’ tendon. An Achilles injury, especially for a wide receiver, is something very difficult to come back from. There is no question that Sanders is going to come back as a different player. That’s just the nature of the injury.

Sanders’ cap hit for the 2019 season is $12,937,500, the third-most on the team.

Sanders is a phenomenal wide receiver and has been a great teammate for the Broncos. Denver drafted two wide receivers—Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton—last season.

They are the future of the team. At some point, the Broncos are going to need to make a tough decision on Sanders and cut him or trade him.

Unless they find a way to structure his contract so that he can remain a Denver Bronco for the rest of his career.
