Case Keenum

It’s no surprise that Case Keenum did not turn out to be what the Broncos were expecting when they signed him last offseason.

Keenum had a stellar season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017. He threw 22 touchdowns to just seven interceptions.

Well, this season, Keenum didn’t come close to matching his 2017 success.

He threw 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, while the Broncos won just six games.

Keenum’s cap number for the 2019 season is currently $21,000,000. Sure, based off of 2017, I can’t blame the Broncos for signing him to a 2-year, $36M contract.

Maybe with new coaches he will prove that he wasn’t the problem at the position.

Hopefully, if the team does not restructure his contract, they find someone who meshes well with their quarterback.
