Vic Fangio

When we talk about experience, Vic Fangio appears to be one of the more established candidates when thinking about the Broncos Head Coach vacancy.

Fangio, currently the Defensive Coordinator for the Chicago Bears would be an intriguing candidate for the Broncos to hire.

He’s coached in the National Football League for 32 years (talk about experience) and has been a defensive coordinator for 19 of them.

Fangio has transformed the Bears defense who was nearly dead last in the NFL prior to him becoming the DC to a top 15 defense the past three seasons and currently the #1 defense in the league this season.

His development of the young talent on the Bears defense has been instrumental in terms of playing to the strengths of his players.

The Broncos are in need of a coach who can identify what his players can do and what they can’t do. He is scheduled to interview for the Broncos Head Coaching vacancy on Monday per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Fangio would more than likely have a big hand on the Broncos defense if he were to become the next Head Coach for the team.

A pivotal decision for Fangio in the event he became the coach for Denver would be bringing in an Offensive Coordinator who could transform the offense to fit the strengths and needs of its players.
