Shane Ray

Shane Ray will be inactive for the season finale on Sunday. But if Ray does not return, this could be a tricky puzzle to solve. It is almost like a Pandora’s Box. Does he get labeled as a bust?

Broncos Country, let me know you thoughts below. But with Von Miller and Bradley Chubb on the field, it was going to be tricky for Ray to even get anything going. He has also been battling injuries.

If the team does decide to bring him back, it would be at a discount. And he could very well be the spell linebacker for Miller and Chubb.

But I do not see any indication that he will return. And if not, it could turn out to be another example of a draft pick that did not end up working out. Ray will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019 after his fifth year option was declined by the Broncos.

He simply has not done enough to be on the team next year. And it truly is a shame. He had a solid two years, but just could not take that next step.
