The Denver Broncos take on the Los Angeles Chargers and Predominantly Orange crosses into enemy territory to chat with Bolt Beat.

The season finale will be here on Sunday for the Denver Broncos. As for the Los Angeles Chargers, their season will continue at least one more game regardless of the results of the Week 17 game between the Broncos and Chargers.

Los Angeles will either get to spend a week resting before hosting a divisional round game or they will travel to Baltimore or Pittsburgh for the wild card round in the first weekend of January. For the Broncos, they will have another offseason to right the ship and return to the postseason.

Apparently there are more problems for this organization that has surfaced over the past few weeks that need to be situated before the team can start competing again. The Broncos are very talented. They just need a few more pieces and a new head coach and they will be able to compete again.

Broncos Country will have to wait to see what happens in the next couple years. But let’s turn our focus to the Broncos opponent, the Los Angeles Chargers. Once again, and for the final time this season, I am sitting down with Ernie Padaon from Bolt Beat to give me his takes on the Chargers.

The Chargers have reached the postseason. What do you believe has made such a huge difference this season?

Health and coaching. The team has always had the talent, but we always had a huge injury that held us back in the past and we always had some stupid mistakes that kept us from winning at the end of games. Despite the loss to you guys the last time, we had been good at keeping leads and closing out games to get the win.

Which player on the Chargers roster is your season MVP and why?

Philip Rivers is the MVP on this team. He is mentioned as an MVP candidate in the league, but there is no real race with Patrick Mahomes ripping up the league. Phil has been amazing this year and has been protecting the football. He has been a little more careless with the football lately, so that is something that we will need to keep eyes out on.

The Chargers can be either the number one overall seed in the AFC or will go on the road for the Wild Card. No matter where they end up, how confident are you in this team in making a playoff run?

I think this team can win it all no matter what seed we are at. We have one big games on the road already in the regular season.

The Chargers travel to Denver to face the Broncos. With the number one seed in sight, what does Los Angeles need to do to secure the win?

Protect the football and move the ball on offense. Right now, the defense has been playing well. The offense has started slow and needs to get out of the gates quickly to get wins.

Which player on the Chargers roster will be an X-Factor for the game on Sunday?

I expect Mike Williams to finish up the season with another solid performance.

Thank You Ernie for taking the time out to chat with me. If you want to see what he and the rest of Bolt Beat are up to, you can check them out here.
