Raiders @ Chiefs

Graham Tiedtke

The Oakland Raiders close out their last-place season with a trip to Kansas City to face the first-place Chiefs.

Oakland secures a top two draft pick if the Arizona Cardinals win their fourth game of the year. That is how bad of a season the Raiders are having.

Kansas City is in position to make a strong playoff push. I honestly don’t even think Oakland has a chance even if Kansas City rests its starters.

The Chiefs should do what they do best: throw the football with Patrick Mahomes. It’s as simple as that. The recipe for a victory against Oakland should not require many ingredients.

Now, there obviously is a chance the Raiders could upset the Chiefs. There is always the possibility of that happening in any game. As long as there are two teams, anybody can win.

I just would never put any money on the Raiders in this matchup.

Especially this year.

The Chiefs are playing for the #1 seed in the AFC and would love to have the playoffs go through Arrowhead.

The Raiders are coming off a division win against the Broncos, and could make this one interesting. Oakland still has potential, and always play the Chiefs well,, so I don’t expect this to be a complete slaughter.

I’m taking KC.

The Chiefs look to secure the #1 seed, while the Raiders look to play spoiler in a meaningless game for them.

Patrick Mahomes will have an MVP performance, throwing four touchdowns in this game.

For the Raiders, Doug Martin will have 100+ yards and a touchdown. The Raiders, however, will have two turnovers in the red zone.

Kansas City will turn both of these mistakes into touchdowns, and it will be 21-7 at halftime.

The Chiefs will control time of possession in the second half, and the Raiders will run out of time to create any substantial momentum.

Kansas City will cap off the day with a rushing touchdown by Damien Williams in the fourth quarter.
