Tim Patrick, WR

When Tim Patrick was just a great training camp story and the fifth wide receiver kept after training camp, there was really no pressure on him to do anything from the fans.

Patrick made some plays on special teams and contributed the occasional big play in the passing game, including a huge catch-and-run against the Raiders to help solidify a Broncos win earlier this season.

In the 10 games following that catch, Patrick had just three receptions. When Emmanuel Sanders was injured and Demaryius Thomas traded, Patrick’s role increased exponentially.

In the Broncos’ last two games, he has been targeted 18 times and has come down with 12 receptions (should be 13, but Vance Joseph wouldn’t throw the challenge flag).

Patrick has gone from a fun story to a player the Broncos could legitimately make future plans for if he can excel over the final couple weeks of the season.

The pressure is on.
