Su’a Cravens, S/LB

After a full season away from football followed by an additional eight games on injured reserve, Su’a Cravens showed a bit of rust.

You don’t say!

Cravens wasn’t the sticky man coverage defender the Broncos expected to be able to shut down running backs and tight ends immediately, and he was benched against the Browns (a healthy scratch on the gameday roster).

The handling of Cravens had been fine up to that point, but the Broncos need to make sure they get this guy on the field.

Even if he only cost them a 4th and 5th round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Cravens was a player the Broncos thought very highly of and he needs in-game reps to get better.

Put him in situations where he can blitz and attack the line of scrimmage as well as cover guys. The more reps this guy gets, the better I feel he’s going to be, but he’s got a lot to prove yet.
