Tight Ends

Jake Butt, Troy Fumagalli, Temarrick Hemingway

The Broncos’ only unrestricted free agent at the tight end position is Jeff Heuerman, who opened the season as the starter and ended up having a career year.

It would be wise of the Broncos to consider re-signing Heuerman, but they have had a number of players step up in the place of both Heuerman and Jake Butt.

Matt LaCosse has looked particularly good as a receiver option, and Brian Parker also has come out of nowhere to contribute this season.

Both LaCosse and Parker are exclusive rights free agents for the Broncos, so it seems highly likely that both would be back to compete.

When the team promoted Temarrick Hemingway off the practice squad, he was signed to a pretty customary two-year deal, so he’s under contract as well.

Tim Semisch is the Broncos’ practice squad tight end. He will likely be back on a reserve/futures contract.
