Specialists/Final Thoughts

Brandon McManus, Colby Wadman

The Broncos’ long snapper — Casey Kreiter — is a restricted free agent this offseason. He should be expected back for another year with the team.

The Broncos have 25 free agents, but 12 of them are really under team control. As previously stated, this team will return its core and doesn’t appear to be set to lose many major free agents unless Matt Paradis walks away.

John Elway will have plenty of cap space to work with this offseason, plenty of draft capital, and a roster with a good foundation of talent.

Right now there are 39 players under contract and a number of others who should be counted on to be back as exclusive rights or restricted free agents. The Broncos will also likely attempt to keep a number of their practice squad players as reserve/future contract signings.

There will be plenty of roster turnover this offseason as usual, but the Broncos could be even more active if/when a new coach is brought in and wants ‘his’ guys.
