Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has passed Simon Fletcher to become the team’s all-time sack leader.

The Denver Broncos fell to the Cleveland Browns on Saturday night, but a Broncos great just broke a team record. Linebacker Von Miller became the team’s all-time sack leader. He passed former Broncos great Simon Fletcher.

On a third down play by the Cleveland Browns, Miller got past the Browns offensive line untouched.

Miller lined up on the left side of the defense but moved inside as the play started. After Miller broke the record, Fletcher made a statement congratulating him for the record.

Miller has gotten double-digit sacks in every season he has been in the league except for the 2013 season when he was suspended for six games and then played in just nine games total.

He has been a game-changing player for the Denver defense ever since he was drafted with the second-overall pick in the 2011 draft.

Miller received help on the other side of the defense when the Broncos selected linebacker Bradley Chubb with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 draft.

Coming into the game, Chubb already broke the team record for sacks by a rookie.

Despite a loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Broncos still are mathematically in the playoff hunt, although it will still require a lot of help from other teams.

No matter what happens with the 2018 Denver Broncos, they can look back on the season and be proud that they have such great pass rushers.

Denver’s remaining schedule is against the Oakland Raiders in Oakland, and against the Los Angeles Chargers at home.

A lot of work needs to be done in terms of getting to the postseason during the 2018 season, and it is unfortunate that the Broncos will need to rely on other teams’ scenarios in order to get to the playoffs. Even though this season hasn’t gone as planned as a team, it is still a great feeling to have Miller on the team.

Next. Broncos failure vs. Browns likely to cost jobs. dark

Hopefully, he remains a Denver Bronco for the rest of his NFL career.
