First Half

The Cleveland Browns got the football to start the game. And just on the second play of the game, Baker Mayfield was attempting to pass it to Darren Fells. But Brandon Marshall jumps the route and intercepts the pass. That would set the Broncos up in great field position.

Just a few plays later, Case Keenum finds Courtland Sutton in the end zone for the first points of the game. This would give the Broncos a 7-0 lead. On Cleveland’s next possession, the Browns just could not get anything going. Baker’s passes were off and the Broncos were shutting down Nick Chubb.

Denver took their next possession down the field. And it ended with a spectacular catch. In double coverage, DaeSean Hamilton was able to grab the Case Keenum pass one-handed going to the ground and secured the ball for the touchdown. That exciting play made it 14-0 Broncos.

Just one play later, the Broncos would get the football back as Baker Mayfield threw his second interception of the quarter. This one picked by Darian Stewart. Denver would take a 14-0 lead at the end of the first.

In the second quarter, Denver drove down the field quickly and ended it with a Phillip Lindsay touchdown run. That would make the score 21-0. Denver was handling business. Cleveland would kick a field goal halfway through the second quarter to make it 21-3. But utilizing the two minute drill, the Broncos were able to drive down the field.

As the half was coming to a close, Case Keenum found Matt LaCosse wide open in the middle of the field and he was able to walk into the end zone for another Broncos touchdown. Denver’s lead would be stretched to 28-3 at the half.
