Chris Harris Jr. gone as Denver Broncos struggle in first half
By Tylor Walden
The Denver Broncos path to the playoffs have taken a huge hit as far as injuries are concerned. Chris Harris Jr. is ruled out and the news is not good.
Just when things have been going so well for the Denver Broncos, a potential trap game has gone from bad to worse regarding the Broncos defense. We all know that the secondary has struggled this season. But they might have just lost their best playmaker in the secondary.
Chris Harris Jr. awkwardly landed on his leg and was carted off the sideline after not being able to put any pressure on his leg. It has been determined that he was ruled out for the rest of the game.
But the news on his leg got even worse.
If this ends up being true, that would be a major blow to the Denver Broncos defense. He has been the most consistent player in the secondary. Losing him with Aqib Talib already gone in free agency is not looking good for the chances.
Derek Wolfe also got hurt during the game as he is dealing with a rib injury. The injury bug is hitting at the worst time for the Denver Broncos. Hopefully, the Broncos are able to bounce back from some really bad news.
As far as the game is concerned, it has been a sloppy game from both sides. Cincinnati has committed some penalties that have killed drives. Denver cannot get anything going on offense. It was scoreless for the majority of the first half.
It took a Phillip Lindsay touchdown run to finally end the scoring right out of the two minute warning commercial break. Once again, we are seeing just how much of a special talent Lindsay really is.
If Denver continues to run the football, it should be a win for the Broncos. The Bengals were able to add a field goal as the first half came to a close.
Cincinnati will get the ball to start the second half. Here is hoping the Broncos can rebound from some key losses and at least exit this game with no more major injuries.
