In our next edition of the Denver Broncos fanzone, I got to chat with Hayley Hudson and get her takes on the Denver Broncos going into Cincinnati.

The Denver Broncos have something going on here. While they do sit one game below .500, they have a legitimate chance of reaching the playoffs. While the chances are a bit slim because of the teams ahead of them, there is still a shot.

Any glimmer of hope is better than where this team was going into the bye week. At 3-6, it seemed as if there was no chance. But some huge wins against the Chargers and Steelers coming out of the bye has given the Denver Broncos and the fans a bit of hope.

Can it continue? With the next four opponents sitting under .500, there is a big chance. The only hope is that the pieces fall into place and they keep winning. A Broncos fan can only hope. It starts with getting an important win against the Bengals.

In our next Denver Broncos Fanzone interview, I chat with Hayley Hudson, a fellow Broncos fan who is all about the orange and blue. Here is what she had to say about the Broncos and on Sunday’s game.

Denver got a big time win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. What stood out to you the most in the win?

There were a couple of items that stood out to me in the win over Pittsburgh. One being that the defense continues to play well, especially with the two interceptions and forced fumble at the goal line. With the forced fumble and the game ending interception, they held Pittsburgh off of 14 key points that otherwise could have caused them to lose.

So I am pleased that the defense continues to work hard to keep Denver’s playoff hopes alive. The other thing that stood out was that the offense continues to improve. Another week with no interceptions from Keenum, and are continuing to put points on the board other than field goals. I am hoping this trend continues as they finish out the season.

After beating two teams with long winning streaks, the Broncos find themselves with a good chance of making some noise in December. Are you convinced that this team can reach the playoffs or are you taking it one game at a time for the moment?

I do believe that Denver can reach the playoffs, but do need to take it one game at a time because there are obviously still quite a few teams in the hunt. They have been playing well the past few games, and kept their losses against the Chiefs, Rams, and Texans very close.

I think there could be a potential wild card spot if they continue to play like they have been, but need to focus on each individual game to do so. They are in the driver’s seat to make this season end better than it started, and can continue to chip away at that wild card spot each week. The remaining schedule is doable, so if they continue to play the way they have been, I have confidence they can make it.

As a Denver Broncos fan, what is your favorite memory of all time?

While there are so many great ones, I think my favorite one has got to be beating Patriots to go to Super Bowl 48. I was way too young to remember Super Bowls 32 and 33, so that was the very first time I was able to feel the pure joy of my team going to the Super Bowl. Seeing Denver’s stuff at the grocery store and whatnot was an awesome feeling, since I didn’t really get to experience it when I was 3 and 4 years old.

Obviously that particular Super Bowl is not a favorite memory and I’ve completely wiped the game from my head, but all the joy I felt leading up to it was incredible. I went home to surprise my dad to watch it with him, and my grandpa came to visit as well, so we had three generations of Broncos fans watching a Super Bowl together for the first time, which I thought was pretty neat, even if we did get slaughtered.

The Broncos go on the road to face off against the Cincinnati Bengals. What will be key for Denver to get a road win?

I think the key here is to not play down to Cincinnati’s level. Cincinnati has also had some struggles this season, and are obviously without their starting quarterback. Denver tends to play down or up to their opponent. They played up to Pittsburgh and LA which resulted in wins, but they have also been known to play down as well.

This would be the perfect win for a struggling Cincinnati team who are also trying to get back on track. I think if Denver continues to keep the pedal to the metal and play like they have the past few weeks, they can get a key win this weekend.

Which player has stood out to you the most in Denver and why?

This is definitely a toss up between Von Miller, Emmanuel Sanders, and Chris Harris Jr. I think I’m going to have to go with Chris Harris Jr. though, because the dude went undrafted and has made a hell of a name for himself. He’s made interceptions in back to back games, is always making plays, and you never hear him mouthing off. He lets his play speak for itself, and that’s what I really like about him. He’s my favorite player, and I love repping the 25 on Sundays.

Thank You Hayley for taking the time out to chat with us! Hopefully the Broncos get another win to strengthen their chances.
