Anyone who watches the Denver Broncos on a weekly basis knows what Shelby Harris is capable of.

After being cast away by the Oakland Raiders, the Broncos signed him to a reserve/future deal after the 2016 season. He ended up having a huge offseason, training camp, and preseason and the Broncos had no choice but to keep him on the active roster and get him snaps every week.

He had an immediate impact, blocking a kick in Denver’s season-opening win over the Chargers in 2017. He finished last season with a career-high 5.5 sacks, and it’s very surprising that against the Steelers, he notched his first half-sack of the 2018 season.

Harris has become a steady source of interior pressure for the Broncos and played one of his best games in orange and blue on Sunday.

Not only did Harris notch his first half-sack of the season, but he also celebrated the birth of his daughter this week and sealed the Broncos’ victory with an interception off of Ben Roethlisberger in the end zone.

Harris also made arguably his most impressive play of the game on JuJu Smith-Schuster’s 97-yard touchdown when he absolutely punished the Steelers’ center and got a clean hit on Roethlisberger that was nearly a sack.
