Any key X-Factors?
Is there any player on the Steelers roster that not a lot know about that could be a factor in Sunday’s game?
NS: Everyone raves about the Steelers pass rush, but last week they discovered another element that could be a game changer. Javon Hargrave proved he’s just as strong rushing from the end position as nose tackle. If Pittsburgh begins to implement him to the outside while Stephon Tuitt recovers from an elbow injury, the Steelers could have a number of guys looking for the quarterback this week.
DD: Us in Pittsburgh are head over heels for Mike Hilton, the Steelers slot cornerback. He’s one of the highest graded slot corners on Pro Football Focus and provides tremendous run support as well. He’s a guy that’s been able to do a little of everything for Pittsburgh. In the interior of the defense is Javon Hargrave, Pittsburgh’s nose tackle.
Pittsburgh’s success stopping the run in a 3-4 defense all starts with how the nose tackle plays, and Hargave has been a crucial factor in games as of late. Names like TJ Watt are nationally known, but both Hilton and Hargave are just as big to Pittsburgh’s success on Sunday.
