It has been quite an interesting game as far as game progress. The Denver Broncos are hanging in there as they hope to end their two game losing streak.

A strangely quiet first half at the Stubhub Center. The Denver Broncos are looking to end their two game losing streak. It would be a huge way to do it. But there have been times where Broncos Country has been left scratching their heads.

I am going to get my grips out of the way right now. The Denver Broncos third down defense has looked horrendous. There have been moments where the Los Angeles Chargers were facing third down and long and they would convert with ease.

I blame most of it against the secondary. The cornerbacks and safeties have looked really bad on third downs. Su’a Cravens was brought in to cover tight ends, but he has not done the proper job in covering Antonio Gates.

Another head scratching play was the decision to go for it on fourth down. A field goal could have given the Broncos a lead. Instead, they left points on the table. It probably could have been challenged. But that was not the case.

The two big plays that have stood out to me was the fake punt and a Phillip Lindsay touchdown. Both  happened in back-to-back plays. Colby Wadman faked the Chargers and threw a pass to Andy Janovich.

On the next play, Phillip Lindsay found a hole and sprinted down the field for a 41 yard touchdown run. It goes without saying that Phillip Lindsay has been quite the playmaker for the Denver Broncos offense. Despite all the inconsistencies on offense, it is nice to see the Broncos have a future in Lindsay.

Chris Harris Jr. also entered the record books as he became the only player in league history to record multiple interceptions in the last seven seasons. Congrats to Chris on the accomplishment!

Von Miller was able to record a sack on Phillip Rivers towards the end of the half, marking his 16th sack on the Chargers quarterback. The sack also marked his 100th in his career.

The Los Angeles Chargers will get the ball to start the second half. Hopefully the Denver Broncos can secure a win in a big game.
