The Denver Broncos return from their bye week and travel to face the Los Angeles Chargers. We take a look and preview the AFC West matchup.

After a two week hiatus, the Denver Broncos will be returning to the gridiron on Sunday afternoon. The team that awaits them? The Los Angeles Chargers. A team that has quietly found themselves at 7-2 on the year. After a rocky 1-2 start, Phillip Rivers and the gang have won six straight games.

As of right now, the Chargers are one game back of the Kansas City Chiefs for first place in the AFC West. It is looking very likely the Denver Broncos will not be able to catch up to them. But there are still plenty of games for the Broncos to steal away the wild card spot from the Chargers.

But it will all begin with this game. The tough part about this game is that it is on the road. And perhaps the Chargers are a bit better than the rest of the NFL thought.

But they will be put to the test against their second straight AFC West rival. Especially one that is coming off a bye week.

Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos have a slim chance of making the playoffs. However, if they are unsuccessful against the Chargers, it is likely that they will not be in the postseason for the third straight year.

Faith is dwindling in Broncos Country, but hopefully a win will lift some of the spirits up. Let us take a look at the matchup between the Broncos and Chargers.
