Arizona Cardinals @ Kansas City Chiefs

Baylor Bradac:

Kansas City has now put up 30+ points in eight of their nine games this year. They are hosting the struggling Arizona Cardinals, who, two week ago, allowed over 40 points to the Denver Broncos.

This game could get real ugly, real fast. I would be shocked if the Cheifs don’t drop at least 35, and despite a suspect defense, I just can’t see the Cards putting up enough to win. David Johnson has not had the year anyone hoped, and the team is being led by a rookie quarter back.

Defenses around the league have yet to figure out how to stop Patrick Mahomes and I would be willing to guess the Cardinals will have similar struggles this week. Even in their one loss, KC put up 40 points. I’m going bold with my score this week, and really going to feed into the blowout talk surrounding this game.

Graham Tiedtke:

This game has “blowout” written all over it.

It’s as simple as this: The Kansas City Chiefs are the best team in football right now. The Arizona Cardinals are one of the worst teams in football right now.

There are some great players in this matchup for both teams, despite the difference in records. Kansas City has the pleasure of having (at least) four playmakers on offense: quarterback Patrick Mahomes, running back Kareem Hunt, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and tight end Travis Kelce.

Arizona has a rookie quarterback (Josh Rosen) who could be very good in the future. They also have a running back who has been known to be one of the best at his position in the past in David Johnson. Johnson, however, isn’t having a very good season. If he performed better this season, the Cardinals’ record would absolutely be better.

Then there’s wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who has gone through plenty of quarterbacks in his days as a Cardinal.

The Chiefs are a 16.5-point favorite against Arizona and they should win comfortably.
