Start-em

With the Denver Broncos on bye, I take a look at other options to start to fill the roles of those such as Emmanuel Sanders and Phillip Lindsay. I will not put any of the major players in this portion. So don’t expect Gurley or any players of that nature because that should be a given at this point.

QB – Alex Smith

The numbers have been very average for Smith this year. However, a good remedy for that is Tampa Bays defense. Tampa Bay has made opposing quarterbacks look great all year.

RB – Nick Chubb

The Falcons defense has given up an average of 112 yards to opposing running backs this year. The rookie has had success in his first two starts and should be able to find holes against a beaten up Falcons front seven.

WR – Tyler Boyd

With AJ Green out of the line-up, Boyd becomes the number one receiver. In a match-up with the Saints that should see a lot of points, Boyd should see a majority of the targets.

TE – Vance McDonald

It’s difficult to project which tight end in the Steelers offense will get more snaps or targets. The Steelers do though have a great matchup against the Panthers who have given up the most touchdowns to tight ends on the season.
