Josey Jewell

The Broncos cashed in on a deep draft class by snatching up Josey Jewell near the top of the fourth round, and the decision to pick him has proven to be a very wise one.

Jewell has looked very good in his limited chances so far this season, playing in relief of or in rotation with Brandon Marshall.

Still, in his 213 overall snaps on defense this season, Jewell has no missed tackles. He’s the only rookie linebacker with that many snaps to have a perfect tackling efficiency rating.

Jewell’s instinctive play has been discussed on this platform since before he ever became a member of the Broncos, but now that he’s playing more, fans are getting the chance to see just what he can do.

No rookie in the NFL has contributed more on special teams than Jewell, either.

He looks like he will be a full-time starter by the end of this year, certainly for 2019.
