Isaac Yiadom

The Broncos were impressed by Isaac Yiadom at the 2018 Senior Bowl and spent a third-round pick on him, much to the delight of the NFL Draft community.

Yiadom became a fan favorite for his press-man skills and length on the outside, along with a willingness to be physical. So far as a rookie, however, it’s been tough sledding.

In nine games, Yiadom has just 50 coverage snaps and has allowed seven receptions with a near-perfect QB rating allowed in coverage.

Those numbers are skewed slightly based on a couple of big plays allowed, but Yiadom’s small body of work is all we have to go on at this point, and it has just been ‘okay’.

Yiadom’s skills are definintely there. He nearly seized the third cornerback job in training camp before getting exposed a little in the preseason. The Broncos opted to bring Adam Jones in at that point.

Still, Yiadom maybe just needs some time and looks like he will be a solid player for the Broncos, but he’s got a long way to go.
