How will John Elway and the Denver Broncos follow up their stellar rookie class of 2018? Here’s the first Broncos mock draft of the season.

Is it really already time to start thinking about the 2019 NFL Draft already? Say it ain’t so!

The Denver Broncos are all but out of contention unless they run the table and win all the rest of their games with a current record of 3-6. More likely than running the table and making the playoffs, the Broncos will miss out on the postseason for the third consecutive year following their Super Bowl win, and we’re also likely to see a major change in the team’s coaching staff this offseason.

This will be the first official Broncos mock draft of the 2018 season and with the team currently projected to have a top 10 choice, now seems like the perfect time to strike up a conversation about the future and how the Broncos can build on their stellar rookie class this year.

John Elway has a pretty big rebuilding project ahead of him. I know he hates to say that word or has even refused to say it in the past, but the trade of Demaryius Thomas was a clear signal fire of ‘rebuild’.

The Broncos will be armed with a new head coach and plenty of cap space heading into the offseason, but what will they do in the 2019 NFL Draft? There are so many factors at play still, but this team is taking on a youth movement similar to the one they experienced in 2011 when Elway first joined the organization in a front office role.

Here’s a look at what the Duke of Denver might do in the 2019 NFL Draft.
