Denver Broncos: Matt Paradis carted off, will not return
By Tylor Walden
One of the most consistent offensive linemen for the Broncos, Matt Paradis was carted off the field with an ankle injury. Reports aren’t looking good.
Matt Paradis has provided a boost to the Denver Broncos offensive line since the 2015 season. The remainder of his 2018 season appears to be in jeopardy. As the first half was coming to an end, Matt Paradis’ ankle was rolled up on and he appeared in a lot of pain.
It was bad that the Denver Broncos had to bring the cart out to get him off the field. It was reported during halftime that Matt Paradis would not return to the game due to an ankle injury.
How bad is the ankle injury? Mike Klis provided this, and it is not pretty.
If this is proven to be true, it is likely that Matt Paradis will miss the remainder of the 2018 season. This is such a tragic injury. Before getting injured, Paradis had not missed a snap in his career.
What is also unfortuate is that this is Matt Paradis’ contract year. Because he has been so consistent with the Broncos, I would assume that he would be getting a new contract. But eight and a half games in, and it appears as if his season is over.
Connor McGovern has taken over at center for the Denver Broncos. Remember that the Denver Broncos lost Ron Leary earlier this year due to an Achilles injury. Losing two key linemen on the offensive side of the football is tough to see.
The Broncos had perhaps a solid line on paper. But now, it is slowly coming apart because of injuries. The Denver Broncos enter a bye after this game, so it will be interesting to see what they do once they find out the extent of the injury.
Prayers to Matt Paradis and hoping for the best.
